This gin is quite clean and simple in taste.. nothing fancy but a great G&T after a long day. Produce with juniper berries, sage leaves and lemon zest and left to stew before a double distillation is done to leave with a lean bouquet. This is create by an iconic Italian distiller and the ingredients above are all locally sourced from the local Veneto region at the foot of the alps.
A really tremendous new gin made, unusually, by a whisky producer - Caorunn (pronounced 'ka-roon') hails from Balmenach distillery in Speyside and is flavoured with Scottish botanicals including rowan berry, heather, dandelion and coul blush apple
An unusual gin from the Black Forest in Germany, Monkey 47 contains a unique ingredient. No, not that! Lingonberries! The 47 comes from the number of botanicals that go into this unique gin, and the fact it's bottled at a healthy 47%. It seems that the botanicals speak for themselves, as the gin has received bucketfuls of critical acclaim. Some say less is more, not for Monkey 47!
One of the most widely drank gin you can get anywhere. roku means “six” in Japanese as it is made our of six Japanese botanicals - sencha. Gyokuro, Cherry blossoms, cherry leaves, yuzu and Japanese pepper. Smooth and oily, the spirit has a rich character as it coats the tongue. Heavy, leafy hints of green and early grey tea. A vivid note of bitter citrus and smokey leaves, with a palate drying and striking bitterness closer to something like Suze. The bitter note becomes evocative of gentian root and wormwood on the finish of Roku Gin.
This has to be one of Sipsmith's most successful releases – sweet, fruity and complex sloe gin. Made from their award-winning gin and made from sloe berries (Blackthorn) that produces a rich liqueur.
